There is a mindset that the only benefits to electric cars are the significantly reduced fuel costs and a reduction in pollutants put out in the air. Those in the industry know there is another major benefit that isn’t as widely known.

Vancouver, which already has the largest public charging network in the province, is looking to move ahead with a Bylaw Amendment to require all new condo development parking spots to be equipped for vehicle charging. The Bylaw would exclude visitor parking spots.
Mayor Gregor Robinson told the Vancouver Sun that their goal is to be 100% renewably powered by 2050 and that the city won’t be able to do it without providing the infrastructure people will need.
This is good news for existing and future customers that will be driving electric and plug in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) like the Chevrolet Volt and the 2018 Chevrolet Bolt among others.
