The annual Vancouver International Boat Show is happening this weekend and though I’ll be working, I’ll be there in spirit.
I love me some boats. Lived on some when I was a child, took sailing courses and had a sailboat coming out of high school and for a while after. Have had friends with boats and if you have one, well … hello friend!
Found this great, very detailed and honest review of the 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV by the guys at @TheStraightPipes. With a range of 383 km, 200 horsepower and 266 foot pounds of instant torque, the performance of this electric car is incredible. If you haven’t driven a Bolt EV yet, give me a call. You’ll be impressed and downright amazed by what it has to offer!
With the announcement of the closing of the Oshawa Ontario factory and four additional factories across the United States, one would think that would be enough news for the automotive world. Unfortunately for fans of sedans developed under the various GM brands, the news didn’t stop there.

So anyone that knows me, knows I love movies. Love to see them in the theater, on the tv, the laptop or pretty much anywhere. One of my favorite places to see movies is at the Drive In. I think every who hasn’t seen a movie … or three … at the Drive In is missing out.
On March 1st, GM revealed the all new, redesigned 2019 GMC Sierra. There were a great many improvements and innovations made which I’ll get into in future posts, but one that stood out to me was the MultiPro tailgate.
BC Chevrolet Dealers are giving away a brand new 2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV as part of the 2018 Vancouver Auto Show. The Bolt EV has a range of 383 km on a single charge and is so popular we’ve been having a hard time keeping them in stock! Our last two were sold before they even arrived on the lot!!
Vancouver, which already has the largest public charging network in the province, is looking to move ahead with a Bylaw Amendment to require all new condo development parking spots to be equipped for vehicle charging. The Bylaw would exclude visitor parking spots.
Mayor Gregor Robinson told the Vancouver Sun that their goal is to be 100% renewably powered by 2050 and that the city won’t be able to do it without providing the infrastructure people will need.
This is good news for existing and future customers that will be driving electric and plug in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) like the Chevrolet Volt and the 2018 Chevrolet Bolt among others.

There has been a lot of changes over the last several months both personally and professionally. As of last month I am now selling out of Carter GM in Burnaby, a location that has been around for over 53 years and which gives me access to over 600 vehicles through the Carter Auto Group.
